Welcome to Salvagedphotos.com. I'm Joan Hickey the founder of Salvaged Photos. Coming from a large extended family I soon came to realize how precious our family pictures are. My Aunt possessed all of our historic family pictures, dating back to the 1890s. Our family pictures have weathered the ravages of time, including flooding, mishandling by small children and poor care. As a photo enthusist I wanted the ability to have a copy of these historic family memories. Thus began my research into photo restoration. Now over 10 years later, I have restored countless family photographs, creating copies for the entire family to enjoy.

At Salvaged Photos I will transform your tattered photographs into the treasured memories that they are. Today's photographers are moms and dads, grandparents and friends. With digital cameras we have ushered in a new era of photographers. The last 50 years has seen the advent of pictures taken at home. You no longer need a professional photographer to capture the special moments in your life.

Growing up, my father was a great example of the modern photographer. He took hundreds of pictures of his family. Now up to 20 years later he is dealing with the discoloration of his photographs and the desire to provide copies of all his family pictures to both of his children. That's where I come in. I got my experience restoring photos for my family and would like to share my expertise with you. Each customer of Salvaged Photos will have the same care and love instilled into their precious memories that my family has. You are entrusting your heritage with me, and that is something I do not take lightly.
